Parallels: Tell us, what’s new?
Ellez Ria: First of all, thanks for having me, thanks to Santos and the entire Parallels team… well this year coming big things, new releases under FSOE, Flashover, Armada also my first artist álbum and after Ellez Ria and Arkam, the release of my new Hardstyle alias
Parallels: Can you walk us through your creative process in writing new music?
Ellez Ria: As I always say, I don’t like to limit myself to a single style, I’ve produced Techno, Deep House, Progressive Trance, Uplifting, Psy and more, so the most important thing for me when creating new music is always my mood , which is reflected in everything I do. For some people the most important thing is the kick, the bass line but personally what matters most to me is the atmosphere in my tracks, if I have the correct feeling and atmosphere, the rest is history.
Parallels: Outside of electronic music, which other genres or artists do you find inspiring at the moment?
Ellez Ria: I love Jazz, Blues, Orchestral Music, Rock, with each genre that I listen to, I nurture my own work incorporating elements of these into my own music, rhythm, sounds, mixing styles etc…
Parallels: If you could change one (or more things) in the music industry, what would it be?
Ellez Ria: Let the vinyls come back!! jaja I’m lover and collector of vinyl music so, what else can I say? nothing compares to the feeling of placing a vinyl on the turntable.
Parallels: We know there are no real secrets to music production, but what are some tips you can
share with aspiring producers eager to learn?
Ellez Ria: Never create music with the idea of sounding like someone else, out there it is saturated with the same sounds so don’t be afraid to experiment, there is no formula for music, just be yourself and let your thoughts and feelings take shape. and how they come from inside
Parallels: What can we look forward to seeing in the near future from you?
Ellez Ria: Well, a lot of new music is coming out, new sounds with my project Arkam, deep, trance and techno influences there and something more aggressive with Ellez Ria and my new alias Hardstyle, expect the best of me this year.
